The I-829 petition is the concluding step for immigrant investors of the EB-5 visa process to become permanent United States residents. The I-829 petition documents that the EB-5 investor successfully met all of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requirements of the EB-5 program. The I-829 petition is one of the most significant and sensitive reporting components of the immigrant investor’s path to citizenship.
Through our unique industry experience, DiSanto, Priest & Co. has developed specific proprietary procedures that can be performed to document that the investor has met the USCIS financial tracking requirements of the EB-5 program. These procedures are documented in an agreed upon procedures report issued by DiSanto, Priest & Co. and attached to the immigrant investor’s I-829 petition. Our I-829 agreed upon procedure report provides transparency and supporting documentation showing the path of qualified funds from investor, through the new commercial enterprise bank accounts, and into the approved project as required by the I-829 petition.
